Casindra Lost - print and audiobook versions arriving

Update on Casindra Lost

Casindra Lost is coming out in Standard and Largeprint paperback editions too, as well as hardcover and audiobook.

In the absence of technical glitches, paperback and hardbacks should be available for order on Amazon the first week of December in time for delivery by Christmas anywhere in the world.  Introductory pricing will be at the minimum Amazon allows (rounded up to the next .99 so I make a few cents on it in bookstore sales).

The price thus looks like being USD12.99 for the standard print (~320pp) and USD17.99 for the large print (~500pp) - and something close to the equivalent value in other countries/currencies.  They are expected to rise to $16.99 and $24.99  in the new year.

The eBook is currently in Kindle Unlimited for borrowing (KENPC ~450pp), and is priced on Amazon at USD3.99 but expected to rise to USD6.99 in the new year.  Soon there will be an audioBook, whose pricing will matched to eBook pricing due to being AI-narrated (and the eBook has to leave KU due to licensing and exclusivity requirements).

Advance Review Copies (ARC and e-ARC) are now available.

Casindra Lost (Lost Mission Series 1)

by Marti Ward

A 3.5 year mission from which they'll never return...

A 2.5 million lightyear journey to another galaxy...

A 1.5 member crew comprising a solitary captain and a half-baked AI…

This is a hard science fiction book/series that would particular appeal to young adults interested in science – including psychology, space science  and AI.

It will also have a particular appeal to old timers who appreciate the 'real science' explorations of Asimov and Clarke, with shades of McCaffery.

Mission 1 (SS Casindra), does not feature YA protagonists, at least not human ones (principal characters include an emergent AI and a couple of cats). Coming in 2020, Mission 2 (SS Moraturi) revolves around a 20-year-old veterinary nurse and three 17-year olds.
